Yuvan Shankar Raja on board for Balloon
Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is busy with close to 18 films in his bag, has signed one more film — Balloon, with debutant director Sinish, featuring Jai and Anjali in the lead roles.
Speaking to DC about bringing Yuvan on board, director Sinish says, “I had Yuvan in mind ever since I wrote the script. However, I was apprehensive since he is busy with a spate of projects. When I approached him and narrated the one-liner, he appreciated it and agreed to hop on board.”
The director strongly feels that his script needed Yuvan to score the tunes, as it is right up the composer’s alley. “The BGM (background music) plays a vital role in every horror movie. So, my obvious choice was Yuvan as he aces the background score usually,” he quips.
The team will start composing from next week and this album will have four songs, one of which will be a promo song.
Sinish further revealed that the first schedule has been wrapped up. The team will kickstart the second schedule on August 10 in Chennai and move to Kodaikanal for the final schedule.
The director is aiming to complete the film by October. Talking about Jai’s role, he added, “Jai will have to undergo a complete makeover, and it will be quite unique. Audiences will sure be surprised!” However, he refused to disclose whether Jai would be seen in a dual role or not.
