Losing weight is easier than bulking up: Rana Daggubati
After losing weight for the submarine-based war film Ghazi in which he essays the role of a naval officer, Rana Daggubati is bulking up again to reprise the role of the iconic antagonist Bhalladeva in Baahubali 2.
The actor was asked to reduce weight for Ghazi, which is based on true-life incidents and will be released in Hindi and Telugu simultaneously. It will also be dubbed in Tamil since both Rana and Taapsee are known faces in K’town.
“I did a few high-octane never-before-seen underwater stunt sequences for Ghazi. I had to cut my protein intake a lot for this flick, so my muscle size and weight dropped,” Rana explains.
Now, with Baahubali — The Conclusion, which has resumed shooting, the hunky actor known for his fitness is back to his gym routines, and has started training heavily.
The astounding body he is sculpting is creating a bigger buzz than his role in Baahubali! “To gain fat, you need to sit around and eat. But I needed to gain muscle, which is a difficult, scientific process. The hardest part is sticking to the routine of a strict diet and vigorous training for months in a disciplined way,” he says. Rana also adds that he finds losing weight easier than bulking up!
