Priya's wink act to raise awareness on safe driving

Apparently, this is not the first time the Vadodara police are using such innovative ads.

The Police in India are resorting to innovative ways to create awareness for safe driving. In a recent creative post on their social media campaign, the Vadodara (Gujarat) police have used internet sensation Priya Varrier's illustrated ‘wink’ picture and wrote ‘Everybody should be alert while driving because accidents happen in the blink of an eye. Drive carefully without distraction.’

Priya's debut film in Malayalam, Oru Adaar Love, is yet to hit the marquee. But her ‘wink’ act in one of the songs ‘Manikya Malaraya Poovi’ made her an overnight national celebrity with the post going viral within a few minutes.

Apparently, this is not the first time the Vadodara police are using such innovative ads. Of late, instead of preachy campaigns, they have been using popular dialogues of top actors Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Prakash Raj as illustrations to give out messages about following traffic rules properly. Netizens are appreciating the good efforts of the police in reaching out to the masses digitally like this.
