Cinematographer/director R.A. Anand is all set with his next Mohana, which is a horror comedy thriller. He says, “The movie has a backdrop of stage artistes and is based on a real life ghost story that took place in 1980 at Thirumalpur village in Kanchipuram when a ghost attempted to create havoc while a stage play was being performed.
‘Naan Kadavul’ Rajhendran and ‘Power Star’ Srinivasan play the male leads and Kalyani Nair and Ashmitha who came to limelight with ‘Mascara’ item number in Salim are the female leads. Rajhendran plays a village leader and a womaniser.
“How a ghost constantly tries to possess him and Srinivasan and how they manage to escape every time forms the crux. Humour is the high point of the movie and I have narrated the story in a hilarious manner.”
