Sundeep Kishan sees huge scope in horror film remake
Sundeep Kishan has turned producer in bankrolling the Telugu version of his bilingual film titled Ninu Veedani Needanu Nene and Kannadi in Tamil. Bollywood actress Anya Singh debuts alongside Sundeep in the supernatural horror film.
Speaking to DC, Sundeep says, “Kannaadi as a subject steered away from the clichés of a horror genre with gore and the redundant, deliberate scare moments and will bring you a newfangled dimension of this genre. All along I never wanted to do a supernatural flick as I feel it does not offer much to me as an actor. But when director Caarthik Raju, who did films like Thirudan Police, narrated the script, it floored me. Its new screenplay does not come under any particular genre. Every 20 minutes the narrative changes, which will be a unique experience. Moreover, Kannaadi as a subject steered away from the clichés of a horror genre that really attracted me. And I took a call to make it in Tollywood in my home banner.”
“The film has a universal appeal and I can assure you that there will be takeaways for the audiences — they will come out with complete fulfilment after watching the film, he goes on to say.
On Naragasooran with Karthik Naren, which is lying in the can for long, he says things have been sorted out and the movie will hit the marquee soon. “Naragasooran is a brilliant movie and whenever it comes out, it will be a world class film”.
