Singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi has reportedly backed out from marrying Santhosh, a native of Thrissur in Kerala. The wedding was planned for March 29.
The two got engaged in a ceremony held in December attended by close relatives and friends.
It is said that certain conditions put forward by the groom post betrothal have subsequently prompted Vijayalakshmi to backtrack from the decision to marry him. According to reports, he had demanded her to stay away from music shows and opt for the job of a music teacher instead.
This has irked both the singer and her family as she wishes to stay focussed on music. He is also said to have breached the agreement to stay at her home after wedding. It was through a matrimonial ad, the proposal from Santhosh came up.
