Vijay Sethupathi's next with Gokul
Vijay Sethupathi has had an eventful 2016 with six of his releases — all of them created wonders at the box-office and also garnered critical acclaim. The maverick actor looks forward to another ecstatic year with five films in hand.
The actor, who is currently shooting for Pushkar-Gayathri’s Vikram Vedha has signed a new film with Kaashmora director Gokul. The duo has already teamed up earlier for Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, a comedy film. Speaking to DC, Gokul says, “I will once again be directing Vijay Sethupathi and it is not a sequel to Idharku... It is an action-comedy script and I am excited to start the project soon.” His team is currently in the process of finalising the cast and crew.
When asked about the shooting schedule of his untitled film, Gokul shares, “We are still figuring out the dates and I am planning to wrap up this venture soon. In six years, I have only done three movies and I want to speed up the process. Kaashmora took a long time, but it gave me the experience of a lifetime.”
Vijay Sethupathi awaits the release of Puriyaadha Pudhir with Gayathrie, Dhanush-Amala Paul-starrer Vada Chennai, KV Anand’s Kavan, Aneethi Kathaigal with Thiagarajan Kumararaja, Vikram Vedha with Madhavan and 96 (with Trisha) in different stages of production.
