Vishal adopts cyclone-hit village

The Thupparivalan star has been known to be vocal on various public issues right from the Chennai floods of 2015.

Many celebrities have chipped in with their mite in contributing cash to the CM's Relief Fund and sending relief materials to the disaster affected delta regions of Tamil Nadu reeling from the effects of cyclone Gaja. Vishal has gone further in acting daringly different and adopting an entire Gaja-ravaged village.

Vishal has adopted the Karagavayal Village in Pattukkottai in Thanjavur district, an area severely affected by the cyclone. He has taken the responsibility to restore normalcy by building houses for the villagers, provide solar lamps and take care of the education of students.

The actor took to his social media handle to write—“This village is mine. #kaarkavaiyaI thanjavur district. I swear I will bring back this village to normality and this will be my responsibility forever. Model village on the way! I luv u group #socialarchitects to help me achieve this.” The people of the village shared their happiness and thanked the actor who has promised to make their village the best in the country.

In fact, his recent television show of Naam Oruvar has undoubtedly brought the light of hope and happiness to many unprivileged people.
