Arvind Swami has got a new pair
Actress Poorna, who was on the verge of quitting films, was lured by GR Aditya’s Savarakathi to reconsider her decision — she will be seen in the role of a pregnant woman from a village in the movie, that also stars directors Mysskin and Ram in the lead roles.
Now, the actress has been roped in to play an important role in NV Nirmal Kumar’s Sathuranga Vettai 2, produced by Manobala. Speaking to DC, Poorna says, “I play Arvind Swami’s wife in this heist film and I will be joining the sets from the last week of December. I am on cloud nine right now as I am going to share screen space with my childhood crush! When he quit films, I was so disappointed thinking that I wouldn’t get to act with him. Now, with Sathuranga Vettai 2 in my bag, my dreams have come true.”
The Thagararu actress is happy with the offers that are coming her way. “In Savarakathi, I play a solid role and Sathuranga Vettai 2 will explore a different side of me. I am happy with the projects that I have been offered. Director Nirmal stated that he couldn’t think of anyone else other than me for the character. I think it all happened because of Mysskin — he was the one who gave me the much-needed push,” she beams.
Poorna is also upbeat about acting alongside yesteryear actress Rekha in her upcoming Telugu film. “I am also in talks for several films in Tamil. I will be finalising them soon,” she concludes.
