Actress Oviya may have garnered a lot of attention through her stint on a reality show on a TV channel, but it has its own repercussions. Yes, she is on the verge of being replaced by Parvathy Nair in the film Seethakathi, which stars Vijay Sethupathi.
Director Balaji Tharaneetharan, who gave the super hit flick Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, an offbeat subject, is teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi again for Seethakathi. The duo shares a great rapport. The movie has two more heroines, Remya Nambeesan who played Vijay’s pair in Pizza and Gayathrie, the female lead in NKPK.
In an earlier interview, Balaji revealed that the film would be based on artists and not related to the tale of the philanthropist of the same name. The film, which has begun its shoot in Chennai, marks Vijay Sethupathi’s 25th movie. Now, close sources reveal that since brisk shooting is in progress, the makers are considering replacing Oviya with Parvathy Nair, as the Kalavani actress is not available for them. Oviya might have been approached for the film a few months back at a time when she was unaware of taking part in the reality show.
When DC contacted Balaji Tharaneetharan, he said, “I am in the middle of the shoot. With the present situation of Oviya not being accessible, we are discussing how to make things happen and are yet to arrive at a conclusion.”
