The alluring performance of US-based theatre personality and actress Dheepa Ramanujam as Vijay Antony’s mother in Pichaikkaran has brought her a plum role in Mahesh Babu’s Tamil-Telugu bilingual film, which has reportedly been titled Vasco Da Gama. The film is directed by AR Murugadoss.
Apparently, Dheepa bagged the offer after the huge success of the dubbed version of Pichaikkaran in Telugu. It is said that Murugadoss was impressed with her acting in the film and felt she would be the right choice to play Mahesh Babu’s mother — and brought her on board.
