Nikki is a kadoos cop in Velainnu Vanthutta Vellakaran
Nikki Galrani who plays a cop in Velainnu Vanthutta Vellakaran, says that though all the characters in the film are happy-go-lucky ones — she is the only ‘kadoos’ (grumpy, stubborn, or stuck-up) one!
“My character is always serious and never laughs, and I’m the only kadoos in the flick — which is actually contrary to my real self. Each time Vishnu and Soori are caught red-handed, they receive nice beatings from me on-screen,” Nikki quipped at the promo event of VVV. She is happy to have had a performance-oriented role in the film.
Incidentally, VVV is the tenth movie for lead actor Vishnu, director Ezhil, and music composer Sathya. Vishnu says that him turning the film’s producer was accidental. “When we started the movie, we had a different producer. In fact, I was apprehensive to play this loud character, since I was used to essaying subtle and soft protagonists. But Ezhil sir said that I can do it, and asked me to simply extend my silent act in Mundasupatti using loudness! Things were going fine, when suddenly the producer opted out. I didn’t want to let go a great script from my hand and so I plunged into production!”
