Oviya, who received lot of flak for her bold modern girl role in the recently released 90ML, has gone back to her rural avatar once again. She will be seen as a village belle in her upcoming rural romantic comedy Kalavani 2, a sequel to her debut film with the same name directed by Sargunam.
“The second instalment will have a fresh premise with unlimited entertainment and a hard-hitting storyline too. While Vemal and Oviya will be seen playing the lead roles, the same star-cast of Kalavani including Saranya Ponvannan, Ilavarasu and Ganja Karuppu will be seen sharing screen space again. The characterisation of Oviya will be a complete contrast to 90ML, which will be yet another highlight in the film,” says Sargunam.
Mayilsamy, Durai Sudhakar who plays the antagonist are the new additions in the cast. The song ‘Vote-u Kekka Vandhaaingalae’ in Ghibran’s composition has already gone viral and political parties are said to be making use of it now.
