After Kuttram 23, Arun Vijay once again dons Khaki for a thriller, directed by Gopinath, a former associate of director Kannan and Milan. Tentatively titled AV 28, the actor who is awaiting his upcoming flick Thadam where he essays a double role for the first time speaks to us. “It was not a deliberate attempt to choose a cop subject. It just happened. When Gopi narrated the script to me, there was a fresh thought in it. It is an action thriller with lot of twists and turns.”
How different this role of a cop is from your earlier one in Kuttram 23, we ask. “That’s a medical thriller. And AV 28 is a series of crimes happening in the city and how the police officer unravels them forms the crux. And the narration will be totally different.” The movie is likely to go on floors towards March end and talks are on with top actresses to play Arun’s pair.
There’s a lot of anticipation for Thadam after Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’s release, he adds. “I am also looking forsward to it.”
