It looks like Sonia Agarwal, who was missing in action is back and on a signing spree. After signing the lead in Evanavan, donning khaki, now the actress has been roped in for a heroine centric bilingual Tamil-Malayalam horror thriller Agalya directed by Shijinlal.
The interesting aspect is that the movie does not have a male lead. “It is not the routine type of horror flick that we get to watch these days. It is a hardcore scare-fest on the lines of Hollywood horror movies which contains real frightening scenes. Sonia has a solid character,” claims Shijinlal. A big south Indian actor will be appearing in a cameo role, which has been kept under wraps. The Telugu, Kannada and Hindi dubbed version of Agalya will be released simultaneously, he adds. The film, which will have Hollywood technicians on board for editing and VFX, went on floors recently with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal wishing the team.
