The hashtag #ThalaAjith has been trending in the last two days not because of Ajith Kumar’s Pongal blockbuster Viswasam, but for the drone taxi mentored by him and developed by team Dhaksha of MIT.
The photos of the drone taxi have gone viral as ardent fans of the actor shared images of the prototype displayed in Tamil Nadu GIM 2019. Reportedly, there were about 1,500 enquires on the first day. It is learnt that there was an overwhelming response and a few companies even offered to fund the project.
One may recall that the Dhaksha team had won the second prize in final rounds of “UAV Challenge medical Express 2018? held in Australia. Ajith Kumar was appointed as the helicopter test pilot and UAV system advisor for the team in May 2018.
