Vishal's suspension upheld

The executive committee of the TFPC has got powers to suspend and there is no vendetta in its decision, the release added.

Chennai: The Madras high court has upheld the resolution passed by the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC), suspending actor-producer Vishal for three months for his alleged remarks against office-bearers of TFPC.

According to a press release issued by TFPC, the Madras high court has confirmed its resolution, suspending Vishal from the council.

This order was passed by the high court based on the judgments of the high court and Supreme Court that the court cannot interfere with the disciplinary proceedings initiated by the executive committee. The executive committee of the TFPC has got powers to suspend and there is no vendetta in its decision, the release added.
