Vijay Devarakonda is reportedly playing the former cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth in Ranveer Singh’s starrer 83, a biopic of legendary cricketer Kapil Dev. Directed by Kabir Khan, Ranveer will be essaying Kapil Dev in the film. The movie is based on the landmark win of the Indian Cricket team at the 1983 World Cup. Srikkanth, who is also a close friend of Kapil Dev in real life, was the highest scorer in the final against the West Indies.
Meanwhile, Ranveer is all set with his upcoming movie Simmba and promoting the film by all possible means. On the other hand, reports suggest that Karan Johar is considering Vijay Devarakonda for his next which has late Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. Vijay D is keen to make his Bollywood entry for his next and Janhvi had also said in an interview that she would like to work with a good actor like Vijay Devarakonda.
