As 2016 comes to a close, Forbes has released its annual Celebrity 100 list. Many Kollywood stars have been retained from last year’s list — however, there has been some shuffling in ranks. Superstar Rajinikanth has been ranked 30, and he leads all other Tamil actors.
Around nine actors from K’town make it to the list, including Dhanush, Suriya and Prabhudheva. Kajal Aggarwal and Shruti Haasan are the only two heroines who have made it to the list from the south. When compared to last year’s list, Shruti has skyrocketed from 61 to 46, while Kajal too has gone up several notches and has been ranked 53.
Ilayathalapathy Vijay, whose name was missing last year, has been placed at 61 this time. Likewise, Chiyaan Vikram has also has found a place in the 2016 list.
Academy Award winner AR Rahman has been placed at 13; the music maestro came 14th last time around.
