Thiagarajan Kumararaja made his debut in Kollywood with the cult-classic Aaranya Kandam in 2011. The film, went on to win national awards and is still considered as one of the best gangster films ever. Sadly, after Aaranya Kandam, Thiagarajan is nowhere to be seen.
Now, we have learnt that the director is ready with his second script, which is expected to be a multi-starrer. Rumours are doing the rounds claiming that Vijay Sethupathi has been approached to play one of the lead roles in this untitled film. According to sources, Malayalam actors Fahadh Faasil and Nivin Pauly are being considered to be part of the cast.
When DC contacted Thiagarajan, he neither confirmed the news nor denied it. “We have discussed the script, but nothing has been confirmed yet.” If things fall in place, it will be one of the most exciting collaborations for years to come. Watch this space for more!
