M’town actress Priyanka, who made an impressive debut in Veyyil, a film produced by Shankar, is making her comeback after a long hiatus with the movie Uttraan. She plays the role of a college professor named Kamali who forms the backbone of the story. Roshan and Hiroshini essay the lead pair.
Talking about the film, director Raja Gajini says, “The film hails family values and relationships. I am sure it will appeal all types of audiences.” On Priyanka he reveals, “Her role is very crucial to the script. Her performance and her Kamali character will be talked about one in Tamil cinema. She told me she was waiting for a strong role like this for her comeback.” There’s a bold police lockup scene where Priyanka has to go semi nude.
