The audio launch of VP Viji’s Ezhumin was anything but ordinary. The film tells the story of six children who are proficient in self-defence but still fail to make it to the national level. Five of them who come from humble backgrounds are motivated by the affluent parents of the sixth, played by Vivekh and Devyani, to persevere in their training.
In keeping with the theme of the film, the makers launched the soundtrack in front of an audience of thousands of school children. Apart from celebrities of the film industry, Minister for Information and Publicity Kadambur Raju and Minister for Sports Balakrishna Reddy were also spotted at the event.
Heaping laurels on Vivekh, Kadambur Raju said, “Vivekh hails from my native town. With his unique brand of comedy, he addresses social issues and raises awareness among students. Ezhumin imparts a message about the need to learn self-defence. Earlier, we would learn life lessons from iconic MGR movies. Similarly, Ezhumin should get a rousing response from the current generation”.
When he was asked to speak, Vivekh thanked Dhanush and Anirudh, who have sung motivational songs composed by Ganesh Chandrashekaran for the film.
