Of goats and philosophy
The new movie with Aadhi and Nikki Galrani, a fantasy-adventure comedy directed by Saravanan, has been titled Maragatha Naanaiyam. After Kabali, Arunraja Kamaraj has written and sung a song now that encompasses the names of different breeds of goats!
On the unique song, Arunraja says, “It’s a sort of philosophical number in which the hero narrates his life experiences.” The song starts with the lyrics Paarukkule nalla naadu...
As for the names of the different breeds used in the lyrics, music composer Dhibu Nainan Thomas has recordedreal goat sounds in the song — instead of recreating them through instruments!
Saravanan, a former assistant of Ram in Mundasupatti, says, “Maragatha Naanaiyam is meant to indicate a special coin — and the story is about a group of people, including Aadhi and Nikki who go in search of it! There is unlimited humour in the movie — and Aadhi, along with the supporting cast of Ananda Raj and Ramadoss, have attempt to provide comic relief.”
