Looks like debutant director UR Jameel knows how to stay in the limelight! He roped in Hansika Motwani to essay the lead for his female-centric suspense thriller Maha, which also marked the actress' 50th movie. The first-look poster released earlier, where Hansika was seen sporting a saffron outfit and smoking ganja from a chillum along with sages in Varanasi, set off a controversy. Later, he created a buzz when he announced that he had brought Hansika's ex-beau Simbu on board for an extended cameo and shot a romantic number on them. Later still, Jameel called them 'magical couple' on social media, sparking rumours that they had renewed their relationship,
Now, once again, the director has sprung a surprise with his new poster, unveiled by ace Venkat Prabhu on his Twitter handle. The duo is seen in an intimate mood and it is going viral on social media. “Both Simbu and Hansika are thorough professionals and they did what the script demanded”, Jameel maintains.
(Incidentally, after much hullaballoo, Venkat Prabhu has revived his political thriller Maanadu with Simbu, and it will go on the floors soon.)
