Makkal Selvan in support of Vijay
Vijay Sethupathi who sports a new look in his upcoming fulfilled action thriller Junga has been shooting for the film in and around France, the last couple of weeks. Directed by Gokul, the film has Sayyeshaa playing Sethupathi’s pair. Reportedly, the film’s foreign portions are coming to a wrap and the team is expected to return to Chennai in a week’s time.
Vijay Sethupathi plays a stylish don in the film, which marks his second collaboration with Gokul after Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara. Produced by the actor himself, the film’s theatrical rights were bought by A and P group for a fancy price on the day of Junga’s mahurat — a rarity in Tamil cinema which happens only with Rajinikanth’s movies.
Meanwhile, Sethupathi has come in support of Vijay’s Mersal. With the film under scanner and mired in controversy, Makkal Selvan had stated that India shouldn’t be called a democratic nation if there is no freedom of speech. He took to his Twitter and posted, “Time for people to raise their voice for Mersal.”(sic)
