Prime Video, today announced the global streaming premiere of Hiphop Tamizha Adhi starrer Tamil fantasy-action film, Veeran, from 30 June. Written and directed by Ark Saravanan and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the film also stars Chella, Munishkanth, Vinay Rai, Athira Raj, Kaali Venkat, and Sassi Selvaraj in pivotal roles.
Veeran will exclusively stream on Prime Video in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide on 30 June with dubs in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Veeran is the latest addition to the Prime membership. Prime members in India enjoy savings, convenience, and entertainment, all in single membership for just ₹1499/ year.
On a fateful day, Kumara, a young boy from Veeranur village, is struck by a lightning that puts him in a coma. Seeking better treatment for Kumara, his father decides to send him abroad. But years later, upon his return, Kumara realizes that he has gained superpowers which he must now hone to protect his village from an evil corporation and their menacing technology that could endanger innocent lives.
Speaking about the film’s streaming premiere, director Ark Saravanan shared, "A family entertainer, Veeran gives Tamil cinema its first superhero from rural Tamil Nadu, making it a first for Kollywood. With elements of fantasy, action, drama, and comedy, the film also touches upon the fine line between superstition and faith, making it a very intriguing and entertaining watch for audiences of all ages.
