Ever since the announcement of Pa Ranjith’s second time collaboration with Rajinikanth, it has been the talk of the town. Expectations skyrocketed when a talented actor like Dhanush came on board as producer. Over the past few weeks, details about the heroine and shooting schedules have been doing the rounds.
While it has been confirmed that Hindi actress Huma Qureshi will be playing Rajinikanth’s pair, the team has been secretive about the film’s supporting cast. However, close sources reveal that Pa Ranjith has approached Samuthirakani for a crucial role in the movie. “Samuthirakani has given his dates for the project and would be appearing in an important role. At this point of time, we cannot shell out more information on the character he is playing. Audiences will be surprised seeing the camaraderie of the two actors,” the source adds.
Shooting of this yet-to-be-titled venture will commence in Mumbai, and will take place in sets in Chennai as well. The principle shoot will begin on May 28 and Superstar will be joining the team later.
According to another source, Ranjith will retain the technical team of Kabali. Music director Santhosh Narayanan will be composing music for this film, after his stupendous success earlier.
