With historical films being a craze among Tamil audiences now, producers of other language movies wants to cash in on the situation. Joining the list of Tollywood films which are being dubbed in Tamil is Balakrishna’s epic historical action film Gautamiputra Satakarni directed by Krish.
The 100th outing of Balayya’s had Shriya as the heroine and veteran actress Hema Malini in a crucial role. Yet another interesting detail which the makers have revealed was that the film was initially offered to late iconic T’town star NTR. When everything regarding the movie was finalised, he entered into politics and eventually he stopped doing films. NTR’s son Balakrishna had now fulfilled his dad’s wish, they say.
RNC Cinemas is planning to release the Tamil version in over 200 screens with the same title.
