Prabhas finds a market in Tamil Nadu
Actor Prabhas’ stocks in Tamil cinema have risen to mammoth levels post Baahubali’s success. One of his old T’town family dramas Darling (2010) is now being dubbed in Tamil and interestingly titled Prabhas’ Baahubali! The movie directed by Karunakaran, which had Kajal Agarwal romancing Prabhas, garnered good reviews besides becoming a box-office success in T’town.
Unlike Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan who enjoy a good market in Tamil, Prabhas’ Telugu films rarely get dubbed here! But Baahubali did all the magic and it looks like Prabhas’ earlier flicks might soon find a way into Kollywood soon.
Badrakali Films, which brought the Tamil-dubbed versions Magadheera, Bruce Lee, Evanda and Selvandhan, is releasing Prabhas Baahubali as well. Veteran ARK Rajaraja, known for his skills in writing power-packed dialogues for dubbed movies has been roped in. The makers of the film have planned to release it before Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion.
