Thadayam boasts of a new attempt

Acclaimed actress Kani Kusruti, who we saw in the award winning short Maa, has been roped in for a film Thadayam, which boasts of a full-fledged film shot in a single scene. Dhamayanthi, well-known in the literary circuit, debuts as the director and she adapts her own short story with the same name into the big screen.

Dhamayanthi was the former assistant of Meera Kathiravn and Bharat Bala. Ganapathy Murugesan from Koothu-p-pattarai plays the male lead. Thadayam touches upon the idea of marriage, of the concept that binds people together which is relatively new to Tamil audiences. Justin Khenaniah scores the music.
