Actor Sanjay Bharathy, son of noted filmmaker and actor Santhana Bharathy, makes his directorial debut with a rom-com. Having started his career as an actor, Sanjay shifted gears and joined AL Vijay as an assistant and worked in films like Devi, Vanamagan and yet to release GV Prakash starrer Watchman.
Sanjay says that he is aware that he should carry on the legacy of his veteran dad. “That’s always in my mind. The movie has an astrology backdrop and is a fun filled entertainer. Audiences would relate to various situations in the film, as I have taken a leaf out of what’s happening around us.”
Bankrolled by Sree Gokulam Movies, Sanjay is in the process of choosing the cast and crew for the film, scheduled to go on floors early next year.
