Vijay Sethupathi, who has a huge fan following in Kerala, will be making his debut in Malayalam with a film titled Marconi Mathai, which has Jayaram in the lead. Directed by Sanil Kalathil, VSP will be seen in a surprise role according to sources.
The actor had said in an earlier interview to DC that he enjoys watching Malayalam cinema and open to working in M’town if he gets the right projects. He has also admitted that Malayalam veterans like Muraliand Thilagan inspired him a lot. One may recall the actor recently made his debut in Tollywood with Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
‘Makkal Selvan’ who essays transgender Shilpa in his upcoming film Super Deluxe, directed by Thyagarajan Kumararaja, has revealed that he did not take any reference to perform the role. At a recent press interaction, he said, “I considered myself a transgender to perform in the film. Transwomen are discriminated against and I could feel their pain of rejection from the society. I didn’t act as a transgender for the sake of garnering an award.”
