Actor-turned-producer RK Suresh has acquired the Tamil remake rights of Tollywood action thriller Napoleon, which featured Anand Ravi, who also wielded the megaphone. The movie garnered decent reviews besides being a reasonable hit. Suresh, who earlier produced Vijay Sethupathi’s Dharmadurai, says that even though many films came his way, he was waiting for the right script to produce under his home banner Studio 9 Productions, as he believes in quality productions. He will essay the lead role and also roped in Samuthirakani for a key character in the Tamil version. A Bollywood actor is being approached for yet another crucial role.
“I watched the original film after a friend of mine suggested. The script was impressive and I also liked the making style. I thought it was apt for the Tamil remake.” Our reliable sources say that he might opt for Varalaxmi Sarathkumar as the female lead. The duo has earlier acted in Bala’s Thaarai Thappattai.
