EPIKO 306 is on Neet training malpractices

Noted dancer Tara Palanivel, who is awaiting her civil service results, plays the lead girl.

Yet another medical doctor Sai is foraying in K’town with a film titled EPKO 306 (IPC 306). A film, which talks about NEET and the malpractices in Neet training centres and how rural students are unable to cope up with the entrance exams, Sai says it also deals with today’s educational system and the politics behind it.

Noted dancer Tara Palanivel, who is awaiting her civil service results, plays the lead girl. “The film is not about late Anita from Perambalur who committed suicide after her inability to clear NEET exams to join MBBS. But this is about yet another girl from a rural area. That’s my inspiration. I hail from Trichy and many from my area are part of the cast.” There’s no clichéd dance or comedy and it is sans a hero, he adds.

While veteran actor Cheenu Mohan, who passed away recently, is seen playing the role of the girl’s father, Sai will be seen as a scheming politician. While EPKO 306 has received a ‘U’ Certificate from censors, Sai is planning to send the film for several international film festivals.
