Fans were thrilled when Kamal Haasan announced a project in collaboration with his daughter Shruti Haasan under their RKFI banner at a recent event. It sparked curiosity and setting off much speculation. Shruti provided a bit more information at a recent Ask Me a Question social media session. Responding to a fan’s query, she said, “It is a musical project and we will be unveiling the details very soon. I couldn’t be more thrilled.”
It is worth noting that her father had earlier cast Shruti in his directorial venture, Sabaash Naidu, which commenced production in 2016, but was later put on hold for multiple reasons.
In a past interview with DC, the Salaar actress had revealed that she would view sharing screen space with her illustrious father as an immense honour. While the opportunity hasn’t materialised in the form of a film, it seems Shruti’s long standing wish is about to be fulfilled through this musical venture.
Shruti is no stranger to the music scene — she has already made her mark with two well-received indie singles, Edge and She is a Hero.
