Rumour has it that actress Samantha may share screen space with Anirudh in a promotional song for her upcoming film U Turn. The bilingual thriller made in Tamil and Telugu has no songs. But the makers have decided to include a promotional song as a crowd-pleaser. Reportedly, the song has been picturised on Samantha Akkineni and Anirudh Ravichander, and it’s been composed by the latter. “The peppy number won’t be part of the film,” a source reveals.
What’s even more interesting is that the actress has not two but three films slated for release on the same day. U Turn and Seema Raja with Sivakarthikeyan are both scheduled to hit silver screens on September 13, and now we hear that Nenjamellam Pala Vannam, the Tamil version of her Telugu film Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu with Mahesh Babu, will also come out on the same day.
Says Rajaraja, who has written the Tamil dialogues for Nenjamellam..., “Telugu films are normally associated with mass masala themes and action sequences. But Seethamma… was a family entertainer that spoke about the importance of traditional family values. Tamil audiences recently welcomed the family drama Kadaikutti Singam, so we thought it was the right time to release Nenjamellam.”
