Manikandan's next is Kadaisi Vivasayi
Director Manikandan grabbed the limelight after his debut venture Kaaka Muttai won critical acclaim and international recognition. After the film’s success, he moved on to complete two films — Kuttrame Thandanai and Aandavan Kattalai in record speed. While he sent the former to an international festival, the latter will have an Indian theatrical release. Before these two films could hit theatres, the director has started scripting work for his next film.
Manikandan’s next project, titled Kadaisi Vivasayi, will focus on the life of a farmer. A source reveals that the entire team is in search of a 70-year-old actor to essay the lead role in this film. The source also added that the film would start rolling by the end of this year.
Speaking to DC, Manikandan said, “I felt that this the right time to talk about the life of a farmer. Kadaisi Vivasayi is a dramatic compilation of their life. The project is still in its nascent stage.” Producer Sagar of Eros International stated, “When Manikandan narrated the story, we believed it would strike the right cord with all audiences, regardless of age. “ The director plans to release Kuttrame Thandanai and Aandavan Kattalai sometime in September.
