Actress Vedhika, who is choosy in picking her characters, is all smiles about her character in Vinodhan. This film, directed by newcomer Victor Jayaraj, is produced by Prabhudeva Studios. The Kaaviya Thalaivan actress is paired opposite Varun, who made his debut with Oru Naal Iravil fame.
Since, the film is based on obsessive compulsion disorder (OCD), actors were made to attend a workshop before the shoot commenced. Speaking to DC, Vedhika says, “Vinodhan is a very youthful film and I come as a school girl and a college girl in the movie. People will get to see a different Vedhika in the film, as it is the first time I am playing a school girl.”
On screen, Varun is the one affected by the disorder, but in real life, it is Vedhika who suffers from it! “The shoot was fun, as I am the one who has OCD — so Varun doesn’t have to struggle to find a reference. He can observe me and enact!” she laughs.
When asked whether Prabhu Deva will be choreographing a number in the film, she states, “Two songs are yet to be shot and I hope Prabhu Deva choreographs at least one.”
Vinodhan is almost complete, with just a couple of days’ shoot pending. This psycho-emotional film has dialogues penned by Madhan Karky.
