3D horror film a first in India

Both will be seen as college students from Bengaluru and the supernatural experiences they undergo when they go on a tour to Kodaikanal.

Sam Jones who made an impressive debut in the lead role in A-Maali is excited about his upcoming flick Lissa, a 3D horror film which is the first of its kind in Tamil cinema. And giving him company is none other than Anjali. Both will be seen as college students from Bengaluru and the supernatural experiences they undergo when they go on a tour to Kodaikanal.

“Even as I was studying in Loyola College, I was passionate about acting. I got the opportunity to prove my talents in my debut film A-Maali itself. I sported multiple looks in it.”

Talking about Lissa, which is hitting screens this Friday, he says, “I play Brahmanandham's son in the bilingual horror film. Despite her stature Anjali is so grounded and was very supportive. She also gave me valuable tips. There's a message also in the film”. He adds that he dubbed his own voice for the Tollywood version of the movie.

Sam is equally thrilled to share screen space with Yogi Babu in the much anticipated Dharma Prabhu, where Janani Iyer is his pair. “Yogi Babu sir's portion comes in Yamaloham and I play a guy from bhooloham. It is an interesting premise and I enjoyed every bit.” He says he wants to do versatile roles like Vijay Sethupathi does. Talks are on for two films with big banners and soon official announcement will be made.
