Simbu takes a dig at school education

Ezhumin is an upcoming film directed by Viji that has Vivekh and Devyani in the lead.

Simbu who seldom attends audio launches or any filmy events was spotted at the trailer launch of Ezhumin. The star known for his cheeky comments took a dig at the present educational system saying he would not send his kids to school while pitching in with similar advice to parents.

Ezhumin is an upcoming film directed by Viji that has Vivekh and Devyani in the lead. The film, which has a social message, revolves around six children who are professionals in self-defence techniques and how Vivekh and Devyani help the strugglers and motivates them to take part in national level competitions.

In a pensive mood at the event, STR said, “We send a child to school so that he can learn. But, schools don’t bother about whether students learn or study. They only care about those who answer first. They don’t teach the kids if they don’t know something.

Instead, they punish the kids by asking them to kneel down or raise their hands. One such student is Simbu. I did not do well in Maths. Rather they did not teach me Maths. For that matter, I didn’t know acting or dancing or singing. My dad had immense faith in me and taught me all these things. So, recognise your kids’ interests and talents and develop them accordingly. Don’t force anything into them.” While on the subject, he also got emotional and said, “With the prevailing scenario in schools, I won’t send my kids to schools.”
