Rs 1 lakh cash award for piracy reporting
At the audio launch event of the Yuvan– Shraviya movie Vilayaatu Aarambam, actor and Producer Council’s President Vishal announced a reward for those reporting piracy in the theatres. Speaking on the occasion, Vishal said, “In order to curb piracy, the council has taken this decision recently. If anyone help us to nab those who shoot films with a camera or a mobile phone at a theatre and inform the management, they will be rewarded with Rs 1 lakh from the council.”
On ace filmmaker Bala who was present to unveil the first set of audio CDs, he said, “After my parents, it is Bala sir who knows me in and out. He is like a film industry father to me. Sitting next to him, I feel privileged.” Bala added his praise as well, “Yuvan was supposed to act in one my films... but somehow, it got postponed. He is a dedicated professional. In my film, he will actually essay the role of a parotta master! I told him to get trained under a professional for the task. It usually takes around 20 days to learn the art of making parottas. But to my surprise, Yuvan learnt it just four days! This apart, I also advised him to come down on his weight. In a month’s time, he shed 14 kilos. I was impressed!”
