Oh Andha Naatkal a continuation of Sindhu Bhairavi
Telugu actress Latha Hegde is all set to make her debut in Tamil with James Vasanthan’s Oh Andha Naatkal, featuring Radikaa Sarathkumar, Suhasini Maniratnam, Khushbu and Urvashi in the lead roles. The film is about four long-time friends who go on a road trip together.
Speaking to DC, Latha says, “Oh Andha Naatkal is a continuation of 1985 film Sindhu Bhairavi, starring Sivakumar and Suhasini. In other words, it is a story that is about the bonding between two generations. I play an innocent girl hailing from an orthodox family.”
The talented actress had a great time shooting for the film in Australia. “Since it’s a female-oriented script, we had a lot of liberty. The four actresses had so much fun — out of whom, Suhasini was like a mother to me. She kept checking on me whenever she could and I gained truckloads of experience while working on this movie,” she adds.
According to Latha, four days of shoot is still left and the post production is going on simultaneously. Latha, apparently, never wanted to become an actress. “I took part in a beauty pageant in New Zealand and that’s when Telugu director Kumar Nagendra spotted me and roped me in for Tuntari. I am enjoying the creative process in movies and fortunately, I have been getting good offers as well,” she concludes. Latha is now busy with three films in Kannada.
