Many attempts were made to bring M’town’s powerhouse performer Manju Warrier, ex wife of Dileep, to Tamil films, but none succeeded. Now, actor Dhanush, gearing up with his next Asuran, has announced that the makers have brought Manju on board as the female lead of the film.
The movie, produced by Thanu’s V Creations, has musical score by GV Prakash and it marks the reunion of GVP and Dhanush after eight long years. The duo had split after their super hit collaboration Aadukalam for reasons best known to them. It seems all is well between them now and Dhanush even rendered a number in GVP’s composition for his film Jail directed by Vasanta Balan.
Coming back to Manju Warrier, the Vada Chennai star Dhanush took to his twitter and shared the news. , “#asuran - update .. The evergreen Manju Warrier will be playing the female lead. Excited to share screen space and learn from this amazing talent.”
