Cinematographer-turned-director Velraj’s Velayilla Pattadhari starring Dhanush and Amala Paul went on to become a blockbuster way back in 2014, and catapulted the lead pair to a different level. When Dhanush announced that the sequel VIP 2, will be directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth, expectations skyrocketed.
The latest buzz is that the makers have brought in Amala Paul to play the heroine in the movie! A source close to the team revealed that the actress is most likely to be a part of the film. But the makers are yet to give out the official announcement.
The actress, who has made a strong comeback in films, has five films currently in her kitty, including a Malayalam biggie with Prakash Raj, Jayaram and Unni Mukundan.
Reports also suggest that Kajal Aggarwal and Manjima Mohan have also been roped in. Sean Roldan will be scoring the music for this film, which is to be produced by S Thanu.
