It's pleasant to work with someone you know: Lavanya Tripati
Lavanya Tripati is a much-sought-after actress in Telugu with three of her films already out this year in Tollywood. And the actress is also gearing up for her second Tamil film Maayavan, which has Sundeep Kishan in the lead. The actress in a chat with DC shares her thoughts on the movie and her co-star.
Directed by CV Kumar, Maayavan is a crime-thriller. “This is my second Tamil film after Brahman. I play a psychiatrist, and my looks and outfits are trendy too. To look the part, I researched fair bit on how psychiatrists behave and counsel people. It’s a subtle and a realistic role,” Lavanya shares.
Talking about her co-star in the film, she says, “I have known Sundeep for a long time and it’s always a pleasant feeling to work with someone who you know well.”
She is also is looking forward to her next Telugu film Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi (VOZ). The actress is paired opposite Ram in the Kishore Tirumala directorial.
“I play Maggie, an ambitious girl – a role that’s full of energy - and close to my real life. The character gave me an opportunity to be myself in the film. So far, I have played serious roles, but my role in VOZ comes like a breath of fresh air. My look is uber cool and I will be seen sporting western and casuals. I got bored of wearing lehengas in all my earlier films,” she describes.
