Actor Jayam Ravi, who has wrapped up the shooting of director Lakshman’s Bogan, has started working for his next project with director Vijay, where he is paired opposite Telugu and Hindi actress Sayyeshaa Saigal (who will be seen in Shivaay). Produced by AL Azhagappan, the yet-untitled film also stars Varun, Thambi Ramaiah and Sanjay Bharathi in significant roles.
Speaking to DC, Ravi says, “This movie will explore a topic that no director has ever done before. It will be high on human emotions and will emphasise on the tag, ‘Who is a better human being?’ It is definitely a new character in my career. I am doing my homework to get the role right.”
The actor believes that Sayyeshaa is star material — “She is sincere and her pronunciation of Tamil is on par with any native speaker.” The team is planning to shoot this yet-to-be- titled film in Chennai, Thailand and Andaman Islands.
Vijay has ensured that the cast is involved in workshops, before the start of the schedules. “We had a three-day workshop and one-day script-reading session. We understood the seriousness of the script and are now comfortable with each other on the sets,” Ravi adds.
Meanwhile, the Thani Oruvan actor confirmed that he is all set to shoot for Shakti Soundar Rajan’s Tik Tik Tik from October. Nivetha Pethuraj of Oru Naal Koothu fame will be his romantic interest — “It’s a space film and we are confident of pulling it off. This won’t be a science-fiction like Interstellar, but an entertainer. The film will be a visual extravaganza with a lot of set works,” he concludes.
