Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, who met filmmaker/actor/musician/ writer T. Rajhendar recently, was in awe of his multiple talents. He has now hailed TR as the true balladeer of Tamil cinema!
Resul wrote on social media, “Happened to meet the original Ballard of Tamil cinema T Rajhendar. I am so moved by his uninhibited mark of a true talent. A sense of burning passion in him more like the folk tradition, his songs and monologue are still a sensation for me. It was humbling to know AR Rahman and Sivamani were Rajhendar’s music companions in those times.” (sic)
