Kruthika Jayakumar’s Tamil debut Santhana Devan will see her in the role of a village belle. Interestingly, on the sets of the film, the Drushyam (Telugu) actress bonded big time with the lead actor Arya. “We used to discuss several things about health and fitness. Since he is a fitness freak and a cycling enthusiast, we shared a lot of things about working out and diet plans. He gave me tips on my acting and saw me through when I was tensed during certain scenes,” says the actress.
Santhana Devan, a period drama which is set in a 1960s backdrop, is being directed by Ameer. Talking about her role Kruthika shares, “I play a strong and independent village girl who knows what exactly she wants. Since it is a period drama, my wardrobe and costumes are completely different. I’ll be seen wearing half saris, bindis, etc. There was a lot of hard work that went into making outfits. It was a great learning experience.”
