Actress Remya Nambeesan’s performance in Sethupathi received a lot of positive feedback and it sort of redefined her career in the industry. Now, the actress has got her hands full with her acting and singing assignments.
The Pizza actress is pumped up about her next flick, Sathya, helmed by director Pradeep Krishnamoorthy of Saithaan fame. Elaborating on the film, she says, “It’s an edgy thriller and working with Pradeep was rewarding. His talent will be known to the world when Sathya releases. There is a fight sequence in the movie and while performing, I was injured. It was a different experience for me to perform an action-block. Sibiraj was calm on the sets and the trailer is nearing one million hits already.”
Sathya is said to be an adaptation of Telugu super-hit project Kshanam. “It won’t be a frame-to-frame remake. Pradeep has taken only the crux of the story and has made it as his own film. It will have a different shade in Tamil and all of us have given our best,” she elaborates.
Remya will once again team up with Vijay Sethupathi in his next film, Seethakathi. “I have a cameo appearance as an actress in the film. Seethakathi is a story about theatre artistes and many actors will have special appearances in it. I will join the team on June 27,” she adds. She has also completed the talkie portions in Natupunna Ennanu Theriyuma, and only two songs are pending.
She has also rendered a song each in My Dear Lisa and Sathuranga Vettai 2. “I also have a couple of other projects which I won’t be able to disclose right away,” she signs off.
