Ajith, Vijay have potential to shine in politics: SJ Suryah

The movie opened to positive reviews and has got on to more screens now.

Though I have given huge hits as a filmmaker, I dreamt of becoming a big actor in tinsel town and it took 25 years to realise it, thanks to Monster,” said SJ Suryah while talking about the success of his recent release. The movie opened to positive reviews and has got on to more screens now.

“Kids and family audiences are enjoying my movie for the first time. Nelson has made it without any commercial frills and thrills. Hence Monster’s success proves a point that ‘content is the ultimate king’. I want to concentrate more on acting. I feel my responsibilities have become more,” he adds with a smile.

Reacting to a question on working with Amitabh Bachchan in Uyarndha Manithan (UM), Suryah said, “The secret to his success for the last 56 years is that sir’s humility as a person and he treats every film as his first film and as if standing in front of the camera for the first time. I have never seen a sincere actor like Amitabhji who completes every shot in a single take.” He also disclosed that issues regarding UM will be sorted out soon.

Having given blockbusters for Ajith (Vaali) and Vijay (Kushi) ask him as who would succeed among the two when they come to politics and he says after a pause, “I personally know both of them well. First of all it depends on their wish to enter politics. But if they decide to foray both have immense potential to be victorious.” He signs off saying that failures have taught him many lessons and he wants to stay grounded and live a normal life.
